Arabia Moomin Thingumy & Bob Mug

On the front of this Arabia mug, Thingumy and Bob are admiring the King’s Ruby, and on the back, they are running away together. The eye-popping design was illustrated by Moomin-founder Tove Jansson and originally appeared in the book “Finn Family Moomintroll.” It was then interpreted by Tove Slotte, who beautifully took the classic from paper to porcelain. 

As always, the Moomin mugs are crafted from porcelain and are microwave, oven, freezer, and dishwasher safe. The new mugs have special details, like an identifying stamp on the bottom and attached gift tag with a sweet story about the design.

This one reads: “Thingumy and Bob are two small creatures who hide the giant King’s Ruby in their suitcase. They have developed their own language that other have hard to understand. While hiding the King’s Ruby, they flee to the safety of Moominvalley. Moominmamma welcomes the little creatures with open arms.”
